چکیده
Abstract The incorporation of the saturation tangential contact stress with increase normal is required for analysis friction phenomenon solids and structures subjected to a high stress, which cannot be described by Coulomb condition, in increases linearly stress. In this article, subloading-friction model, capable describing smooth elastic—plastic transition, static—kinetic recovery static during cease sliding, extended describe property. Further, some numerical examples are shown, validity present model will verified simulation test data on linear sliding metals.

Constitutive equation of friction based on the subloading-surface concept
The subloading-friction model is capable of describing static friction, the smooth transition from static to kinetic friction and the recovery to static friction after sliding stops or sliding velocity decreases. This causes a negative rate sensitivity (i.e. a decrease in friction resistance with increasing sliding velocity). A generalized subloading-friction model is formulated in this article...
متن کاملTR - 2015 - 06 DEM - PM Contact Model with Multi - Step Tangential Contact Displacement History
We provide a brief overview of the Discrete Element Method (DEM) for modeling large frictional contact problems in granular flow dynamics and quasi-static geomechanics applications. In terms of contact, DEM can be divided into two approaches: the Constraint Method (CM) or rigid-body approach, and the Penalty Method (PM) or soft-body approach. We give a detailed presentation of a DEM-PM contact ...
متن کاملSliding Friction Contact Stiffness Model of Involute Arc Cylindrical Gear Based on Fractal Theory
Gear’s normal contact stiffness played an important role in the mechanical equipment. In this paper, the M-B fractal model is modified and the contact surface coefficient is put forward to set up the fractal model, considering the influence of friction, which could be used to calculate accurately the involute arc cylindrical gears’ normal contact stiffness based on the fractal theory and Hertz ...
متن کاملInverse dynamics with rigid contact and friction
Inverse dynamics is used extensively in robotics and biomechanics applications. In manipulator and legged robots, it can form the basis of an effective nonlinear control strategy by providing a robot with both accurate positional tracking and active compliance. In biomechanics applications, inverse dynamics control can approximately determine the net torques applied at anatomical joints that co...
متن کاملDiscrete Contact Problems with Coulomb Friction
The paper deals with a discrete model of a two-dimensional Signorini problem with Coulomb friction and a coefficient of friction F depending on the spatial variable. It is shown that a solution exists for any F and is unique if F is sufficiently small. We also prove that this unique solution is a Lipschitz continuous function of F . Numerical realization is done by the piecewise smooth Newton m...
